    Don't look, in that location is no commuter for windows 10, but when installing windows 10 equally an upgrade or clean install windows will install a commuter for you and it will work fine as a matter of fact, the only downside is you are not going to get whatever advantages from directX 12, but your computer will work fine.

    I take the same problem on an older Dell Latitude E6410 ATG. I "inherited" it from a trash pile at work and decided to fix information technology upwardly for my kids. I was easily able to load Win 10 on it and everything worked fine, except gaming. Ultimately, the kids decided that playing Steam games was more valuable then Win ten apps & games, so I downgraded it dorsum to Win 7 Pro because of the available video commuter. Unfortunately, information technology looks like Intel volition never create any Win x specific drivers for this older hardware.

    I know this thread is very one-time simply go to this MS Update Catalog page for a Win10 compatible Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipset family unit driver for the graphics.

    download whatsoever of the cab files for version viii.15.x.2697 dated 10/one/2012, open the cab file in 7zip, extract all files inside and use Device Director to install the driver. done.

    I have an onetime Dell Inspiron 640m/e1405 laptop that uses mobile Intel 945gm graphics and I installed v8.xv.10.2697 on there (that same version for Win8/8.one) and it works with whatever build of Win10.

    I thank you for the procedure yous descibed in a higher place.
    I realized information technology on my ThinkPad only after having installed this version of the driver, the Graphic card appears disabled in the device director with the message "Lawmaking 43 : Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems."
    Do you know how to solve this ?

    why are yous people tinkering with this hardware till date ? the best this thing tin can do is word processing and playing videos at present adays , and so what'due south the need for finding a driver for information technology ? play opengl games from 15 years ?

    The brightness works (I fabricated a mistake in my previous mail service) simply the hibernation does not actually, and I am not sure this basic driver will make the card work as good as information technology could with the exact good commuter.
